Mimi Pierre Johnson was born in Haiti and migrated to the United
States in 1970. Ms Johnson returned to Haiti during her twenties
where she taught graphic arts, translated and illustrated books for

After Mimi returned to the United States she served for seven years
as President of Argo Civic in Elmont, V.P. of Community Coalition
Counsel in Elmont, and then in 2010 she tossed her hat into the
political ring as a candidate for the 21st Assembly District.
Mimi home schooled her son, and aft er several years she returned
to the workforce as a community organizer for New York Community
for Change. She was a Political, legislative and Clergy organizer.
Ms Pierre Johson has since resigned her position at NYCC is
now a partner at J. Young Consulting where she focuses on social
and political coalition building.

In addition, Ms Pierre Johson is the V.P. of Haitian American
Political Action Committee of NY, (HAPAC), President and CEO
of Elmont Cultural Center and Th e Director of Children Church at
Church of the Harvest ministry in Elmont.

Ms Pierre Johson is married to Stanley Johnson and lives in Elmont
with their 2 children Tamar and Aaron.
