Local civic organizations

The Parkhurst Civic Association is an advocacy organization whose primary role is to provide a forum where the discussion of and solutions for community concerns can take place in a productive and respectful manner. It provides information, referrals and access to local institutions regarding the safety and well-being of area residents with the primary goal being the betterment of our Community.

Now in its 50th year, Parkhurst has built a strong relationship with the Police, Sanitation, the Elmont Union Free School District, Sewanhaka School District, Elmont Public Library as well as all local and state elected officials. Parkhurst continues to bridge the gap between community members and these organizations to ensure everyone has a voice and issues can become solutions.

Although there are always problems to be solved, the hopes, wishes and great ideas of our residents never fade. The Parkhurst Civic is committed to assisting how and where it can but first we need more of our community to join us, to connect with neighbors so we can be the best we can be.

The Parkhurst Civic Association Includes:

  • Elmont Road
  • Dutch Broadway
  • Parkway Drive
  • Ludlam Avenue
