Buffalo man, 32, admits stabbing coworker to death

BUFFALO — A 32-year-old man has pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing a coworker during an argument at a Goodwill Industries Store in Buffalo last summer.

Buffalo media outlets report that Jawain Wilson pleaded guilty Wednesday to a reduced charge of first-degree manslaughter in the Aug. 22 stabbing death of 21-year-old Joshua Thomas.

Wilson had been charged with second-degree murder after police say he stabbed Thomas in the chest as the two men argued during their lunch break at the Goodwill business located on the city's east side.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Wilson will be sentenced in January to 20 years in state prison.
