The Occupy Albany encampment in Academy Park swelled by several hundred members during Thursday's "day of action," including activists who arrived by bus from Buffalo, Syracuse, Newburgh and other upstate communities. After holding a general assembly in state-owned Lafayette Park -- the site of numerous curfew-violation arrests in recent days -- the throng marched down Washington Avenue to the offices of the state Business Council before entering the state Capitol. As State Police stood by, the group held another assembly in the second-floor Mural Room, close by Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office, and outside the legislative chambers on the third floor. There were no arrests.
