ALBANY -- New York State's 10,300 non-unionized management and confidential employees, like their unionized counterparts, will be taking furloughs over the next two years, according to a recently issued bulletin from the state Budget Division.
Salary for the furlough periods will be repaid starting in 2015 in a deal that is similar to the contract that Public Employees Federation members approved earlier this month.
Additionally, the M/Cs, as they are known, will be getting longevity increases -- something they haven't had in several years.
