Players reject NBA's offer, season in jeopardy

NEW YORK -- The NBA players have rejected the league's latest offer and are beginning the process to disband the union.

The decision likely jeopardizes the season.

Union executive director Billy Hunter says the players' association is prepared to file antitrust action against the NBA. He says this is the best situation for "players can get their due process."

Hunter says players were not prepared to accept the NBA Commissioner David Stern's ultimatum, saying they thought it was "extremely unfair."
