CLIFTON PARK -- A Glenville man was rushed to Albany Medical Center Hospital Saturday after his wife ran him over with a vehicle, Saratoga County sheriff's deputies said.
Wayne Eaton, 62, suffered "serious injuries" when his wife, Geraldine, backed over him, according to Sgt. Brent Dupras.
Geraldine Eaton was backing up to a fence at a home on Southbury Road around 11 a.m. when, Dupras said, her foot slipped from the brake pedal to the gas pedal. The accelerating car hit her husband, a fence and a pool deck before finally coming to a stop in an above-ground pool.
Members of the West Crescent and Vischer Ferry fire departments assisted in the rescue.
No charges have been filed, and Wayne Eaton's condition was not immediately known.
