BUFFALO -- A bicycle trip across the United States that was interrupted by a serious accident 25 years ago is finally being completed for a trio formerly from Buffalo.
Tony Glosek, Dave Cywinski and Dan Alexander left Seguin, Texas, on July 29 to complete the last 2,500 miles of the 8,000-mile trip they started in 1986.
Cywinski and Glosek were struck by a pickup truck in Seguin that year and couldn't finish the trip. Alexander completed the journey alone.
Last month they flew to Texas to resume the bike trip. The Buffalo News reports they're expected to arrive on their bicycles in front of Buffalo City Hall at 5 p.m. Monday.
The men biked across country to raise money and awareness for Boys and Girls Clubs.
