PEF contract vote ballot mailing set for September

ALBANY -- Members of the Public Employees Federation will be receiving mailed ballots on their tentative labor contract with the state after Sept. 2 when they will be mailed out, according to the union website.

The votes are due back by September 26 and will be counted on the 27th.

The PEF Executive Board will review and vote on sending the agreement to members Aug. 11-12.

After that, members are scheduled to receive a text of the contract along with a summary of changes and table of gains and trade-offs in the proposed five-year deal, followed by regional meetings.

The other major union fielding a contract agreement, Civil Service Employees Association, has sent out their ballots this month. They are due back Aug. 12 and are set to be counted on the 15th.
