Teens Aren't the Only Ones Hurt By Underage Drinking

Next time you're thinking about throwing a party while your parents are out of town, think again. Legislation in hundreds of locales now holds adults responsible for parties with underage drinkers. These "social host" ordinances can fine your parent or guardian over $2,500--which probably won't make them very happy to see you when they get home. And if someone is injured while under the influence of alcohol, your parents could be liable.
