U.S. Obesity Rates Continue to Rise, Study Says

Obesity in America is a big problem—and a new study says that adult obesity rates have increased in 16 states in the past year. Mississippi has the highest rate of obesity, where 34.4 percent of the population is overweight. Colorado has the lowest rate of obesity at 19.8 percent. And the problem isn't limited to adults: The number of overweight children and teens has tripled—or quadrupled—in many areas as well.
