Canadian Teen Discovers Possible Treatment for Cystic Fibrosis

Sixteen-year-old Marshall Zhang from Richmond Hill, Ontario, discovered a new combination of drugs that could be used to fight cystic fibrosis. Zhang worked with a biochemistry professor from the University of Toronto and used a supercomputer to simulate his research. His study results showed how two new compounds could help repair the defective form of protein that causes cystic fibrosis.
