GLBT Teens and Bullying

The death of Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers University freshman, has called attention to the growing problem of bullying against gay and transgender teenagers. But Clementi is just one of several gay teens who have committed suicide in the last month after being teased and harassed by their peers. According to a recent study by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network, nearly 9 out of 10 gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender teens suffered physical or verbal harassment in 2009.
