According to LIPA's Common Residential Electric Rates pamphlet, customers taking advantage of the Rate 480/481 "are required to have seperately metered, segrated circuits". The Rate 480/481 schedule is available to to General Service and Water Heating customers during off-peak hours. The savings range from about 21% per day on the Service Charge and almost fifty percent off the General Service KWh rate during the applicable hours.
