The Sewanhaka High School Homecoming Parade displayed terrific school spirit this past weekend as members of the different classes marched in Elmont and rooted on the Sewanhaka Indian Football Team! The Indians won their battle on the football field and increased their record. Assemblyman Tom Alfano dropped by the Homecoming festivities to wish the team well and congratulate the students on their parade floats. During the parader set-up, he even threw some football passes to the Sewanhaka players warming up behind the school. "The time and energy these young people put into their floats was extraordinary. The Times Square Ball was really imaginative, and it looked great. The Uncle Sam float was truly magnificent. Congratulations Sewanhaka! You make Elmont proud," said Assemblyman Tom Alfano!
