Senate candidate evolves: Blakeman for teaching creationism

Just picking up on an interesting debate point that emerged the other week in a forum among Republican candidates vying for a shot at unseating Democratic U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. Said the AP, of a debate a week ago Friday:  Bruce. Blakeman (former Nassau legislative presiding officer) "differed from the other candidates in saying that creationism should be taught in public schools." He also was the only one who owned up to owning a gun or having used illegal drugs.
