New Study Gives Movie Popcorn Two Thumbs Down

A recent study by the Center for Science in the Public Interest found that a medium popcorn and soda combo at one U.S. movie chain is the nutritional equivalent of eating three quarter-pound hamburgers (more than 300 grams of meat) with twelve pats of butter. That’s a whopping 1,160 calories and three days’ worth (60 grams) of saturated fat.
