Black History Month Celebration, A Moving Portrayal Of Talent From The African Diaspora

Pamela Byer, centerThe 2nd Annual Black History Month Celebration hosted by Elmont Online and ECAP in collaboration with the Elmont School District was a moving portrayal of talent from the African Diaspora.  The two and a half hour long program featured performances from our high schools, churches and SUNY at New Paltz.
By all measures, the program was a success.  We congratulate Mrs. Pamela Byer and Mrs. Lillian Mitchell, recipients of the Elmont Online - ECAP Dr. Carter G. Woodson Award and the 21st Assembly District Martin Luther King Jr. Award respectively.

Assemblyman Tom Alfano and Jean BradleyElmont Online and ECAP take this opportunity to thank all who worked tirelessly to help make Sunday’s program the success it was.  The overwhelming support and continued encouragement from organizations like civic groups, churches, local, state and federal officials, schools and veterans is heartfelt.
