Pamela Byer


has lived in Elmont for Twenty-eightyears.  She attended Victoria High School and received her nursing degree from Abbots Langley school of Nursing in Hertfordshire, England. She earned her diploma in early childcare development and currently works as aday care provider. pam_byerHappily married to Ossam L. Byer, Pamela is the proud mother of four (Don, Kim, Cynthia andShari), and grandmother of seven. Pamela is a member of the PTA and has held the positions of secretary, President of Alden Terrace School PTA and treasurer of Elmont Memorial High School PTA and has been honored "Most Rewarded" for the past nineteen years.  Furthermore she teaches first graders with reading difficulties. Pam has offered her services as a Sunday School Teacher at St. John's United Methodist Church of Elmont fortwenty-five years. She is part of the group that implements the feeding for the homeless at St. John's United Methodist Church. She is also a member of the participating team of the annual thanksgiving feeding of the homeless of Belmont Race track.  Pamela spends her free time learning and understanding other people and their cultures. She enjoys interacting with people of different cultures, traveling gathering new information on various subjects.
