Elmont to Celebrate Black History Month

 DSC0346Elmont, Feb. 10, 2012 – A Collaboration of Song and Spoken WordElmont Online and Highlighting Success will be hosting its Ninth Annual EOL Black History Month Celebration. The event is co-sponsored by The Center for Black, African and Caribbean Studies at Adelphi University, Senator Jack Martins and Invest in Elmont. Featured performances include internationally acclaimed jazz artist, T.K. Blue; sensational rap and spoken word group, One4Five; the students of the Elmont Elementary and Sewanhaka Central Schools and more. This two-part observance of Black History Month will be held Feb. 12, 2012 in the Elmont Memorial Library Theater located at 700 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, NY 11003. Admission is Free and open to the public.
