Boy Mr Medera plays semantics very well. Size does matter especially to the tax payers. In case you would like to know I am a very good friend to state comptroller Tom Di Naploi. In fact I have asked him on numerous occasions to conduct forensec audits of all taxing districts. I have also pointed out the different size library budgets and asked Why? Also pointed out the problems of the boards plus picking a library director off of a cival service list is not good. Why don't you read the law? It states a policy, which we did, and nothing mandating any board to perform RFP's. While we are at it, why didn't you ever bring this request up at the schools? There are plenty of people; from attorneys to business managers to even the retiring superintendent who have been there many many years. Run for the board if you think things are so bad. But remember we don't like micro- management. You never answered my question as to why tax payers spent 20 thousand for an opinion based on you wifes opinion. No facts , no law, no mention of the New York State comptrollers opinion. Don't know why I bother, this will be my last letter on this issue to you. The community knows the truth and some of us have a Senators ear on the problems of boards. With this 2 percent cap one day boards will be obsolete. By the way what ever happen to that library director you and your wife felt the community needed to fix the Elmont Library?
