WOW! I just read the entire Comptroller's report and I could swear I thought I was reading about the situation at the Elmont Public Library!!! Irresponsible board members, no proper fiscal checks and balances, an empowered unencumbered outside consultant...that's been "business as usual" at the Library for over 25 years. I hope the Comptroller does not audit the Library.If that were to happen what a truly sad day it would be for the reputation of the Elmont community.
