Scandal Plagued Senator Johnson Rocked by New Fraud in Campaign

In another Elmont.org exclusive news story, residents from Elmont and Franklin Square have uncovered yet another act of fraud and forgery at the hands of scandal plagued Senator, Craig Johnson, and his running mate Mimi Pierre Johnson in the form of forged signatures of and victimization of a well-known Democratic party operative as well as college students and dozens more. The latest Senator Johnson scandal has rocked and injured the Democratic party in the Elmont community.

The revelation has brought into focus that a DA investigation must begin immediately and bring this matter to justice- Elmont residents are now demanding the probe and point to the copped plea and conviction of a County Legislator as the model that the DA should use. Further, Elmont residents are also pointing to the stolen school board election contest where it was found that voters who lived outside of Elmont voted in school board trustees races that ended in the tainted re-election of Trustee Lorraine Ferrigno who is now ensnared to a school district health insurance scandal. In that contest it was found that several residents voted in the election who did not live in Elmont.

In today’s case, the Democratic party operative, Harold Barbieri, who was used in a County Legislature election just a few years ago, joins a chorus of residents from Elmont, Floral Park and Franklin Square who have had their identities stolen and forged on petitions for the Senator’s re-election campaign.

The revelations of fraud on the Johnson and Johnson petitions are just the latest acts of forgery and conspiracy by the Senator Johnson campaign team. In another startling revelation, Elmont.org can also now report exclusively, that several college students including an Elmont Soccer full ride scholarship winner was a victim of the petition fraud perpetrated by the Senator Johnson campaign. When contacted by phone, the prominent Elmont resident stated, “I never signed the petition and nobody asked for my signature.” This new revelation also comes on the heels of yet another shocking revelation that a former prominent Elmont School district PTA leader’s family’s signatures appear on petitions even though they never signed the Johnson and Johnson petitions.

In this exclusive story, Elmont.org can report that Democratic party operative Harold Barberi of Franklin Square had his signature forged on nominating petitions supporting State Senator Craig Johnson. This forgery, is yet just another act of fraud on the behalf of Senator Johnson, but unveils yet another story of fraud of conspiracy on the people of the Elmont, Franklin Square and Floral Park communities.

Harold Barberi was the Conservative Party candidate in a primary challenging County Legislator John Ciotti a few years ago. Barberi is a Democratic party operative who changed his registration just for the purpose of stealing an endorsement from Legislator Ciotti. It should be noted that Senator Johnson’s staff was highly involved in the County Legislature elections in the greater Elmont community and was one of the architects of the attack. Now, after Barbieri’s resounding defeat from the voters, he rechanged his registration back to Democrat.

Today, in a stunning twist of fate, Barbieri is in the position of being used again by State Senator Craig Johnson and his running mate Mimi Pierre Johnson. This time, the fraud committed is against not only the voters, but, in forging Barbieri’s name, and that of his wife Vera Barbieri, on his re-election petitions.

These new cases, coming to light, have residents in the greater community demanding that the District Attorney’s office open a criminal investigation against the Petitions of Senator Craig Johnson and his running mate Mimi Pierre Johnson. As reported earlier, State Assembly candidate Patrick Nicolosi handed over to the District Attorney’s office signed, notarized affidavits and formally requested an investigation. Residents are encouraged to call the DA’s office at 571-3505 to demand an investigation.

I just saw this new news item and can not believe what I am reading. It does not surprise me that Craig Johnson's supporters forged college students names. This falls right into line with the Senator's staff passing out election fliers in front of Dutch Broadway School during the Elmont basketball tournament. I had one put in my face and told them thanks but no thanks. I wish I could have said more then, but I tried to be polite. In Barbados, we would of handled it another way. If that wasn't enough, the Senator's staffer didn't pick up the mess in front of the school he and his friend left. Where were the newspapers that showed that Craig Johnson politicized a community event. Shame on the Senator and his staff. They owe those people who ran that thing an appology. What it tells us is that the Senator just uses us. Remember NOVEMBER- they are out!

I must say many of these comments are harsh, mean and cruel. The allegations of fraud should be determined in the court room. On the other hand, I understand there is the court of public opinion... I just hope that we remain civil about it.

All in all, I support Mr. Phillips and Elmont.org. Mr. Phillips is my friend and I stand behind him 100 percent. So please don't blame the messenger. Often editors have difficult choices to make... and sometimes the truth hurts. Publishing the articles is correct because it is news.

And for the record, I find the comment about Ms. Johnson being the mistress of Senator Johnson "out-of-order". Thus, please refrain from making such unbelievable and foolish comments.

I do agree with the editor... please keep all comments on point and let's not devolve.

I never liked Craig Johnson from the beginning. He just never appeared to be genuine or sincere to me. How anyone in Elmont can possibly vote for this man when he has obviously manipulated us is unthinkable. I will be casting my vote for his opponent. The same goes for Mimi. I will be voting for Pat Nicolosi.

With this latest disclosure of campaign fraud, Senator Craig Johnson has further cemented his status in a culture of corruption. When it comes to corrutpion, Senator Johnson takes no back seat to his notorious senate colleagues, Hirram Monserrat and Pedro Espada. The residents of Elmont, Franklin Square,Floral Park and the entire 7th senatorial district deserve a state senator who will act and lead with integrity. Jack Martins has demonstrated such ethical leadership as Mayor of Mineola for the past 7 years. Hopefully the district will vote in Martins in November and send a loud message to Albany that corruption in Albany will no longer be tolerated.

I am sure there are more stories abouit the Johnson & Johnson team. We must, I REPEAT MUST rally for new blood in nominating Mr. Nicolosi to the Senate Assembly seat. Mr. Nicolosi will bring new ideas, leadership and new direction in his district. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO RE-ELECT CRAIG JOHNSON OR GIVE HIS MISTRESS MIMI JOHNSON A CHANCE. WE NEED TO CLEAN THE HOUSE - AND START BY NOT VOTING FOR CRAIG JOHNSON. HE IS FULL OF CORRUPTION AND SHOWS IT ON THE TWO FACES HE HAS.
