Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

To the public;

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which will allow qualifying undocumented youth to temporarily live and work in the US, officially begins today.  To be eligible for the (DACA) program one must provide the following information:

  • Documentation that says you’re currently in school, have a GED, are enrolled in a GED course, or have already graduated
  • Evidence to prove you entered the United States before you turned 16, such as school records, medical records, or a passport stamp showing when you arrived in the United States
  • An identity document (ID) such as a passport.
  • Proof that you have been here since June 15, 2007 such as a passport or medical, financial, school, church records, etc.
  • A fee of $465

Just more people that we have to support with our tax money, more people living in illegal apts in elmont that will use our services and crowd our schools. I wonder if the immigration problem was the illegal flight of Irish and swedish people would Obama and nobodys like Solages would jump on the bandwagon.

This crossed my desk today, “… and Aubrey, what’s the status of the Joe Smith case?  I hope it’s not forgotten?!”

Well EoL Reader, Smith was formally arrasted and charged with the crime on March 29 and I suspect from your emphasis on “?!” you are asking a deeper question.  Will Joe Smith like Vinny Prisco get away with the ongoing intimidation of Nassau County (Elmont) residents on behalf of the Long Island Republican establishment?  Will Republican dollar$ subvert the public good - again?  The answer remains to be seen.
