The first annual Elmont Film Festival sponsored by The Elmont Chamber of Commerce, The East End Civic Association and The Long Island International Film Festival will be held at the Elmont Public Library on June 7th 2012. The Festival begins at 1:00 PM and concludes at 9PM.
The film festival is part of an ongoing effort by the Chamber of Commerce to engage the community and to showcase Elmont as a destination for the arts.
“The films that are selected are the best of the Long Island Festival”, said Muzzio Tallini, Vice President of the Elmont Chamber of Commerce.
Refreshments, alternate entertainment and question and answer sessions film directors and organizers are part of the eight hours schedule.
The evening closes with the awarding of a $5000.00 scholarship to the winner of the Invest In Elmont business plan contest.
The event is free and open to all.
