Oftentimes, adults neglect to involve children in conversations about severe predicaments. Hurricane Irene dominated most, if not all adult conversations during its passing. “Ms. Irene Is So Demanding” is written from a child’s perspective. The child tells her story about the events leading up to the hurricane. The story provides children with the opportunity to take part in a conversation about a shared experience, that were voided from. You will be reminded that our children also lived through the hurricane and that they had some of the same fears that we adults had. Yet the child learns that a bad situation doesn’t have to be a bad experience. Enjoy the journey into the heart and mind of a youngster during the catastrophic storm, Ms. Irene.
